Gerrit Viljoen

CFP® Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning

Gerrit founded Ultima Financial Planners in the year 2000. He has been in the financial planning and advisory industry since 1986. He co-authored the book, Protect Your Business Like a Pro! Gerrit addresses various audiences and conducts personal financial planning and investment seminars for various groups of people. In 2003 Gerrit was bestowed the Financial Planner of the Year award.

Hester van der Merwe

CFP® BLC, LL.B, Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, Certificate Course in Advanced Trust Law

Hester started her career in financial planning in 2003 after leaving the legal environment. She joined the Ultima team in 2015 where she fulfils the role of Financial Planner. Hester was crowned the 2020 FPI Financial Planner of the Year and is a trend setter in the South African Financial Planning Industry.

Hendri de Klerk

CA (SA), CFP®, Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning

Hendri joined Ultima in February 2015. Hendri’s previous employers included Ernst & Young, Warner Music Gallo Africa, Merchant Music and the African Institute for Mentoring. Hendri has more than 15 years’ experience in financial and general management. Hendri was appointed as the Ultima CEO from the 1st of March 2024. His passion is to equip and inspire clients to make better financial decisions.

Eugène Antak

CFP®, B Iuris, Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning

Eugène joined Ultima in May 2017. She was previously employed by FNB Fiduciary Pty Ltd, she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and has a vast amount of experience in financial planning and fiduciary affairs. Her career encompasses various aspects of the financial planning industry with experience in both the public and private sector and includes qualifications in the legal and financial sector.

Mthobisi Dladla

Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, Btech Taxation

Mthobisi Joined Ultima as a Paraplanner in July 2023. Before joining Ultima, Mthobisi was working for a local bank as a credit assessor. Mthobisi loves financial planning and aspires to become a Certified Financial Planner Professional. Mthobisi strives to be a better version of himself.

Yolanda Dube

BCom Hons Business Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning

Yolanda joined Ultima in September 2021 as a Paraplanner.  She is passionate about wealth creation and personal finance.  She enjoys cooking and experimenting on different types of food.  She holds a Post graduate diploma in Financial Planning.

Jabulani Gwatipedza

Jabulani joined Ultima in 2017 as corporate messenger and doing our garden maintenance.  He delivers all our messages and packages with a big smile.

Tristan Lawrence

BTH.

Tristan is a dedicated paraplanner with a unique background that includes a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and five years of experience in full-time ministry. This diverse experience has honed Tristan’s skills in communication, empathy, and analytical thinking, all of which are invaluable in the realm of financial planning. Tristan began his financial planning career at Liberty before joining Ultima in January 2024.

Alet Lindner

Alet joined Ultima in 2010 and is an assistant to the financial planners and responsible for client services. Prior to Ultima, Alet worked for more than 10 years at Investec as a Coordinator and Trainer on website and administration activities. She was also employed by the Department of Home Affairs as a Fingerprint Expert. For Alet nothing is too big, she walks the extra mile in solving problems.

Audrey Monama

BCom (Finance), FMVA®

Audrey joined Ultima in October 2023 as a Paraplanner, with previous experience in Employee Benefits. She’s currently completing her PGDA (Financial Planning) at the University of the Free State. She aspires to become a Certified Financial Planner as she’s passionate about walking clients through the ever-changing landscapes of financial planning. Her favourite quote is “If you can’t find a helper. Be the helper.”

Jacob Mtshweni

BTech Internal Auditing

Jacob joined Ultima in 2021 as an administrative assistant. Jacob is passionate about people and different cultures and really enjoys to work with Ultima clients.

Rochelle Mylie

CFP®, BCom Hons Business Management

Rochelle joined Ultima in 2021 with previous administrative experience in the Financial Services Industry gained at Amity Wealth, Avon, King Price and Sasfin Wealth. Rochelle’s motto is “Strive not to be a success but rather to be of value” Albert Einstein.

Betty Shoba

Betty joined Ultima in 2004 and is the general office assistant. With a humble spirit, she performs her work with love and care and is a valuable member of our team.

Terence Tee

Bcom Financial Management Science, Bcom Hons Business Management, National Certificate General Management

Terence has a robust background in financial and operational management, with over a decade of experience in the banking and wealth management sectors. He started his career in the banking sector as an Operations Manager, where he developed and refined his skills over nine and a half years. Following this, Terence transitioned to a wealth management firm, taking on the role of Compliance Manager. His career then progressed as he served as a Payments Manager, showcasing his versatility and expertise in financial operations. In February 2024, Terence joined Ultima, bringing his extensive knowledge and experience to his new role.

Diena van der Bank

Diena joined Ultima in 2010, she is an assistant to the financial planners and responsible for client services. Diena holds qualifications in Financial & Pastel Accounting as well as Bookkeeping. Prior to Ultima, Diena was employed by Workmen’s Compensation and PSIRA.

Ann-Marie Venter

Ann-Marie joined Ultima in May 2023 as a Receptionist. Ann-Marie has over 8 years reception experience and over 10 years client service experience. Ann-Marie enjoys hiking, road trips, photography and seeing the beauty South Africa has to offer.
